Children under three years stay free of charge and baby cots and high chairs etc are also provided free of charge.

Remember - there’s no need to bring a big fat suitcase - these prices include everything other than food and drink - we even give you a free T shirt - so just turn up with (a very few) clothes,
plus your swimsuit and an appetite!

Our booking service is personal. Every enquiry and all your questions are treated individually.

The general booking procedure is:

Decide your arrival and departure dates. Email or speak with us about what you’d like. Choose which of our two Parcs would suit you best.

Make a provisional reservation with us, which we'll hold for one week.

Shop around for the best flight price and availability. We can advise you on the latest situation including the best days of the week to travel, from and to which airport to travel, and who to contact.

Double-check with us and then book the flight. Don't forget Insurance.

We will quickly confirm all the accommodation details in writing, and ask you to pay 25% of the cost directly to the Crete Alfresco (Crete Direct Ltd.) bank account in Bristol, United Kingdom.

The transport to the Parc decision is yours. You can book a rental car direct with Crete (Click here), or you can ask us to book a taxi for you, or you can hire a taxi at the airport on arrival.

We issue you with an invoice two months before you arrive, and we ask you to pay the 75% balance prior to one month before you arrive.

As soon as we receive final payment, we will send you a map showing you how to get to the Parc.

We will meet you on arrival and settle you in. Then we will call to see you to check all continues to be well, within 48 hours of your arrival.

About Crete Direct

Crete Alfresco is part of the activities of Crete Direct Ltd a company registered, owned and managed in Britain.

We are not a holiday company or tour operator.
We have a sister organisation, Crete Direct, (www.crete-direct.com) which rents houses and apartments and many of our clients stay for long periods as sabbaticals or to work undisturbed on a project such as a book or a course of study. Some clients want to get the feel of living here before committing themselves to purchasing land or a house.

Much of the European travel industry remains as it was set up forty years ago when one "couldn't trust the locals". Today, as part of an international community using modern communications technology, we have all expanded our boundaries of familiarity. Many of us buy our air flights and book our car-hire direct, and so it must make sense to also book our holiday accommodation directly from Crete Alfresco and Crete Direct.

 
 

Contracts and Conditions

We don't want to produce the usual pages of conditions that often seem to negate all that has been said elsewhere. Nevertheless, some things have to be said for everyone's benefit.

Procedures for short-term contracts up to one month in duration.
Provisional contract interest is expressed by you by telephone or email, and we will reserve the accommodation for you for a maximum of seven days whilst you book your flight. We will then send you a simple contract and a credit transfer slip so that you can credit our UK bank account with 25% deposit. Our bank account is on line so upon confirmation that you have credited our account and after receipt of a signed contract back from you, the contract between us is finalised and the deposit fee is then non-returnable. The agreed balance of your contract must be paid no later than one month before arrival following the invoice that we will send you two months before arrival.

Insurance
Although Greece is of course a full European Union member, many of its customs and practices differ from the familiar in Northern Europe, particularly in terms of medical facilities. You should also assume that you are not personally insured when carried in any motor vehicle. It is a condition of contract between us, therefore, that you take out your own travel insurance.

Air and Sea Travel
We can give advice as to airport and ferryboat information and put you in touch with agents, but please make your own travel arrangements and then inform us of the details. We cannot be held responsible for any problems with transportation such as delays or cancellations by operator or their agents.

Prices
Our prices are based on known costs and expenses incurred in a mixture of Euros and Pounds Sterling. Once a month we may adjust the relationship between Euros and Pounds as displayed on our website but once you have exchanged a contract with us then the price is fixed in the currency and
the amount as on that contract.

Electronic Payments
Please ensure when you make an inter-bank or wired payment (as opposed to a posted cheque) that you pay your own charges at your end and that it is made clear to your bank that the amount on the contract between us should be the net amount that we receive.

Accommodation
The accommodation is for the exclusive use of the clients shown on the contract, and is not to be sub-let under any circumstances. All breakages and losses must be paid for prior to departure, which normally ends at noon on the last day of rental.

Liability
Crete Direct is not responsible for loss or damage to clients because of circumstances beyond its control, such as failures of public supplies or transportation, acts by governments, civil disturbances, acts of God etc. In the unlikely event of any observations or complaints, do please discuss these directly with us, at the time, during your stay
